EVENT – 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

From: SVM2

What: 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

When: January 22 through February 12, 2007

SVM2 (Student Volunteer Movement 2) is calling for a corporate 21 days of prayer and fasting in January and February.

“Together, we are seeking revival among the emerging generation that will thrust the supremacy of Christ to the forefront of every college ministry and cause multitudes to respond to his supremacy by giving themselves in full surrender to his role for their lives among the forgotten.”

Join others in asking God to:
• Move in power on college campuses with biblical revival,
• Cause multitudes of believers in the emerging generation to be conformed to the likeness of Jesus,
• Raise up biblical unity and common goals and purposes among the emerging generation,
• Compel thousands of new laborers to make faith-filled, Spirit-led decisions to serve God among the forgotten,
• Initiate thriving campus mission initiatives on hundreds of campuses, and
• Break down strongholds in forgotten areas and soften hearts to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

For detailed information about this season of focused prayer and how an individual, campus ministry fellowship, or local church can participate, please go to SVM2.

EDITOR’S NOTE: We’ve written before about Women of the Harvest, a ministry to women in missions, but it is worth highlighting again. The publishers recently wrote:

“We would love to double our ‘subscribers’ by the end of 2006. Would you please remind all of your missionary women about our publications and retreat ministry? Our resources make a wonderful free gift to provide encouragement for them!”

All of the following publications are available by subscription from Women of the Harvest. Let them know you heard about them here!

• Women of the Harvest On-line Magazine: This bi-monthly electronic publication offers articles of encouragement for women living overseas. PRAYER RESOURCES – Ethne

From: Ethne

Ethne is facilitating a global, 12-month prayer initiative from June 2006 through May 2007, focusing on the least-reached peoples of 12 geographic regions, month-by-month, beginning in the east and moving westward.

December will be the month of prayer for the least-reached peoples of East and South Africa. A brand-new DVD has been prepared with a set of six testimony stories (in 18 languages). Each testimony is 5-7 minutes long and highlights what God has already done in the lives of formerly unreached peoples, now involved in reaching others. You can order your own copy from your nearest distributor. A donation to cover expenses is requested. You are welcome to duplicate and distribute it once you obtain a copy.

Many other resources are available for free download from Ethne’s Resources page.
