Iran: Please Pray for Christian Denied Medical Treatment in Prison

Source: Middle East Concern, May 16, 2026

Prayer is requested for Mahshar Parandin, a Christian prisoner of conscience denied medical care.

Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reports that Mahshar, an artist, is serving a two-year sentence in Tehran’s Evin Prison. She has been denied access to necessary medical care.

Mahshar suffers from a heart condition and two tumors, and an informed source claims that she requires immediate surgery. One of the tumors, in her brain, has affected her balance, movement, and speech. The second tumor, in Mahshar’s throat, is also reported to have grown visibly larger.

HRANA reports that Mahshar is eligible for parole, but the prosecutor has rejected her request for conditional release.

Please pray that:

  • God will strengthen and encourage Mahshar and bring healing
  • The prison authorities will allow Mahshar to receive the necessary treatment and that surgery will be successful
  • Mahshar will be granted parole and that prisoners in Iran will be treated with respect and their dignity upheld
