SPECIAL EDITION: Behind the Scenes

  • The Future of Caleb Resources
  • Marti Taking a Break

Dear Readers,

Just wanted to let you know about a few changes behind the scenes here at Missions Catalyst.

1. The Future of Caleb Resources

What has been Caleb Resources is in the midst of some radical restructuring. The staff and many of the (former Caleb Project) ministries will continue in new configurations as part of Pioneers.

>> See the official press release, Pioneers announces restructuring of Denver offices.

This change may have little effect on Missions Catalyst, which is able to operate with considerable resilience and autonomy. But it does mean we’ll need to move our nearly 200 pages of “recent” content to a new website.

In all likelihood, setting up a new website will only improve our ability to serve you, even if there are a few hiccups along the way. Wherever we make our virtual home, though, www.missionscatalyst.org will take you there. For the forseeable future you can continue to reach us through the same email addresses. Eventually these will change as well.

2. Marti Taking a Break

At the same time, I’ll be stepping away from the project for a previously scheduled six-month sabbatical – something I try to do about every seven years. I’m looking forward to more time for rest and reflection, and hope to return to ministry refreshed and renewed. I’ve lined up some material in advance, Pat and Shane are still on the job, and we’ve recruited a substitute copy editor to keep everyone in line (thank you, Brad!). It’s great to have a team, isn’t it?

We appreciate your patience – and prayers – in this season of transition. If you have any comments or questions, please let us know.

Grateful for you,

Marti Smith | managing editor and publisher
