{"id":4993,"date":"2014-09-17T14:32:34","date_gmt":"2014-09-17T21:32:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/missionscatalyst.net\/?p=4993"},"modified":"2014-09-17T14:32:34","modified_gmt":"2014-09-17T21:32:34","slug":"india-violence-against-christians-in-bihar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/missionscatalyst.net\/?p=4993","title":{"rendered":"INDIA: Violence against Christians in Bihar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/morningstarnews.org\">Morning Star News<\/a>, September 13, 2014<\/p>\n<p>Among a wave of attacks against non-Hindus since the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took power in India on May 26, a Christian couple in Bihar state required hospital treatment after Hindu extremists beat and publicly resolved to kill them.<\/p>\n<p>A small band of men forcefully entered the home of\u00a0Shri Lal Khatiyan in Balwanazir, Kaliyanganj, the morning of August 30, asking who had visited and calling him and his wife pagans as they beat him, according to the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI).
