I read a story that made me walk away from my keyboard and not want to go back. It was bad news. Very sad. I\u2019ll be joining Marti for a three-month sabbatical, and until this week, I didn&#8217;t think I needed one. Maybe I do. Pray for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/christian-mans-hands-chopped-off-by-muslim-relatives-sharia-law.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kalegeya Faruku<\/a> and his family, who harmed him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m tired of wading through so much bad news. God showed me he knows what I\u2019m feeling, and he provided a song I\u2019d never heard. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/efmt-drNSeA?si=BpdLPlOVy2_j1Dch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Not Afraid of Bad News<\/a> came across my feed at just the right time (see below). Are you sick of bad news? Afraid? Be encouraged. God is in control!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ll be reading the Psalms on my sabbatical. They always help with perspective. And I am starting a master\u2019s degree in theology through Regent University! I appreciate your prayers.
