The pilot of a Samaritan\u2019s Purse plane that was recently hijacked told the attempted hijacker that God loves him, according to the Evangelical nonprofit\u2019s CEO, the Rev. Franklin Graham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Graham talked with the pilot after the incident, who described what it was like when the individual who snuck on board tried to take over the airplane. Graham said the pilot made an effort to \u201ctry to convince him not to do this, but the guy said, \u2018I\u2019m going to kill you and I\u2019m going to count to three and I\u2019m going to kill you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, the pilot realized this isn\u2019t going to turn out well,\u201d said Graham. \u201cSo, [the pilot said] I\u2019m just going to tell him that God loves him. The guy surrendered, and so we are just grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe work in dangerous parts of the world; that\u2019s part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Traveling to Maiwut, South Sudan [on December 2], the plane was en route to deliver medicine to a mobile medical unit operated by Samaritan\u2019s Purse when it was hijacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
