This edition is a bit different, but I did notice some strange reversals and surprising stories popping up in many sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Larger-than-life figures have fallen in Bangladesh. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/gallery\/2024\/aug\/06\/mass-protests-in-bangladesh-in-pictures\">Scroll through these images<\/a> (The Guardian) and consider their significance when you read about <a href=\"https:\/\/incontextinternational.org\/2023\/08\/30\/unlocking-the-heart-of-the-unreached-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South Asia, the heart of the unreached world<\/a> (INcontext).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another battle is taking place on Mexico\u2019s Yucatan Peninsula, where people are fighting over a statue of <a href=\"https:\/\/religionnews.com\/2024\/07\/15\/the-gods-must-be-angry-mexico-cancels-statue-of-greek-god-poseidon-after-dispute-with-local-deity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea<\/a>, and whether that god has a right to the realm of <a href=\"https:\/\/historicalmx.org\/items\/show\/186\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chaac, the Mayan god of rain<\/a> (Religion News Service).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join me in praying for more to turn their eyes to the one who controls not just the seas, rain, or rivers but all the cosmos.
