Rafiq couldn\u2019t keep his hands from trembling as he knocked on the door of his friend Daniel\u2019s home. A few months before, the two had struck up a conversation when Daniel came into Rafiq\u2019s caf\u00e9 and shared something he\u2019d read about Jesus that morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daniel, a long-term Frontiers field worker, had become a regular customer and a good friend. They\u2019d had many spiritual discussions, and now Rafiq hoped Daniel could explain the terrifying dream that he\u2019d had the night before. Like many Muslims in his community, Rafiq believed dreams had meanings that could be deciphered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daniel greeted Rafiq and welcomed him inside. Rafiq felt a bit shaken as he walked across the tiled floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs everything alright?\u201d Daniel asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI want to tell you about a dream I had,\u201d Rafiq explained. \u201cI can\u2019t stop thinking about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daniel took a seat in the living room and gestured for Rafiq to join him. \u201cTell me about your dream.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rafiq took a deep breath. \u201cIn my dream, I was going out on a dark night and saw a house full of light and people,\u201d he said. \u201cAs I got near the house, I saw a man standing in the doorway, speaking to the people inside. It was you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cReally? I was in your dream?\u201d Daniel\u2019s eyes widened. \u201cThen what happened?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI tried to get closer so I could go in,\u201d Rafiq continued, \u201cbut vicious dogs attacked me, biting me and pulling my clothes with their teeth to stop me from entering.\u201d He shuddered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
