Greetings!

Just a few weeks ago I said goodbye to friends and left on a 1,300-mile, cross-country journey to pursue a relationship in the beautiful state of Oregon. This weekend the next stage of the journey began: Chris, my love, proposed to me – and I said yes. We’re engaged to be married. (To be married! For the first time, in my forties. Hold your applause!)

It got me thinking, though, that many of our readers have made journeys just as far-reaching or more. Thousands of you have left the safe and familiar behind when you responded to God’s calling to serve, pray, give, make disciples, and mobilize others. Look at all that God has done!

Can I just say, “thanks”? May God bless you and make you a blessing wherever he places you and however he wants to use you for his kingdom.

A big thank you, too, for your support and encouragement of Missions Catalyst. Thanks for reading. We appreciate you!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
